Pousada Do Mondego exceeded our expectations with exceptional staff, providing a memorable New Year's Eve dining experience in the cozy ambiance of the bistro. The ideal location near key attractions in Ouro Preto allowed us to explore the vibrant street life conveniently. The historical charm of the property, including the original 1882 music box, added an authentic touch to our stay. As a cultural anthropologist, the blend of colonial architecture with Afro-Brazilian influences resonated deeply with me. The rich breakfast spread featuring traditional Minas Gerais cuisine was a delightful culinary experience that truly showcased the essence of Brazil. The panoramic view of Ouro Preto from the luxurious property complemented our cultural exploration, making our stay truly unforgettable.
